Coach Craig Cieslik joined Legendary High School Football coach Harry Welch as an Assistant Coach for
the 2010 football season. Coach Welch has won 8 CIF Championships and 2 state championships. He is regarded as one of
the top coaches in the country. Santa Margarita High School plays in the toughest League in the country the Trinity
League(Mater Dei, Orange Lutheran, Servite, St. John Bosco,and Serra). Santa Margarita has not had a winning season
since 2006. This year once again Coach Cieslik assisted in turning around another program when Santa Margarita ended up 9-3
(2nd in League) beating such storied programs as Mater Dei, Carson, Edison, and Orange Lutheran. The Eagles were even
ranked #5 in the state at the end of their season.
