Coach Cieslik

Coach Craig Cieslik has been coaching high school football since 1991. At the age of 18 years old he guided the A.V. Christian Eagles to the C.I.F. Championship game. This accomplishment made Coach Cieslik the youngest high school football coach in the nation to ever take a varsity football team to a sectional championship game. The record still stands today and will probably never be broken.

Coach Cieslik is known for "turning struggling programs into winners." He has accomplished this at small schools and large schools. Coach Cieslik is currently assisting 10 time CIF Champion Harry Welch at turning around Santa Margarita High School which plays in the toughest League in the country the Trinity League. In 2010 SMCHS went 9-3 and was ranked #5 in the state of California. Coach Cieslik also has a slew of unbelieveable scoring records as a Head Coach. Such as 58 points in a quarter, 74 points in a half, 89 points in a game, a running back scoring 9 T.D.'s in a single game, and the list goes on and on. In 2008, his La Sierra team became the "Fastest Offense ever in the History of High School Football in America" when La Sierra became the first team ever in the history of High School football to averaged over 70 plays a game! They averaged 71 plays a game, a truly remarkable accomplishment. La Sierra also set 2 more National Records in 2008 by rushing the ball 87 times and 90 times in a game. They broke a 29 year old National Record. His teams are almost always the smallest and slowest team in their league, but Coach Cieslik has always excelled with these kinds of kids. He just seems to get the most out of his kids at each and every program he takes over. This makes his accomplishments even that much more impressive!

Coach Cieslik is also a very entertaining clinic speaker and has overcome his entire life, just as his teams have with his stuttering problem that he has had since birth. "I think I'm the only head coach around who stutters also." "My players and I have a lot of fun with it." Part of the successful turnaround at all of these schools has been Coach Cieslik's sense of family that he builds in his teams through his strict discipline and no-nonsense approach. On the same hand, Coach is the biggest joker off the field as his players could attest to and is always there for his players the rest of their lives. In return, he'll have former players drive 3 hours one way to just catch a game of his. "I cannot even explain the closeness that my players and my staff build with these players over their careers and lives." Coach Cieslik has also had the honor to Head Coach in 3 major All-Star games. In his spare time, Coach Cieslik is an avid runner who runs (not jogs) between 5 miles everyday, rain or shine!! He even finished 9th place overall in a marathon in 2000. "My players find out real quick that I love to run and that's what our offense is going to do the entire game." We run up and down the field the entire game and never, ever huddle."
